Sara Lord appointed to AICPA Auditing Standards Board

Sara Lord, RSM’s National Director of Audit, recently was appointed to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Auditing Standards Board (ASB). The Auditing Standards Board is the AICPA’s senior committee for auditing, attestation and quality control standards applicable to the performance and issuance of audit and attestation reports for nonissuers.

Sara has 20 years of experience with public company and private company auditing and accounting technical issues. She joined RSM’s National Professional Standards Group as a partner in 2012, after working for a Big Four accounting firm in a variety of roles, including audit client service, national office consultation and global office public policy. In her current role at RSM, Sara is responsible for audit and attest policies, procedures, tools, guidance and training.
An active member of the profession, Sara has served on various standard-setting bodies, and other technical committees and organizations. She currently serves on the Center for Audit Quality Professional Practice Executive Committee and the AICPA Quality Control Standards Task Force.
