Faced with the challenge of upgrading its finance technology infrastructure while undergoing a complex enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution migration, Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) achieved a remarkably smooth transformation. KAG, the largest tank truck transporter in North America, replaced a variety of technology platforms including GTreasury with Kyriba. In addition to Kyriba, the full finance transformation included a comprehensive suite of solutions with D365, Blackline, Basware and more.
Recognizing the potential for disruption during the concurrent Oracle to D365 ERP migration, KAG and RSM implemented a flexible connectivity strategy. By strategically utilizing SFTP as an initial integration method, with intentions for future API implementation, RSM ensured minimal operational impact. This agile approach allowed KAG to enhance its payment processing, cash reporting and journal entry processes, demonstrating how strategic planning and adaptable solutions can lead to a seamless, large-scale finance transformation.
