Jim Morton was named the national audit line of business leader for RSM US LLP (RSM) in December 2011. He oversees the implementation of audit strategy, policies and procedures, learning and development, and audit technology tools and applications.
Morton has been with the firm since January 1981 and became a partner in October 1990. As an audit partner, he gained extensive experience serving manufacturing and distribution companies, including operational, financial and strategic consulting, mergers and acquisitions. He also has past experience serving public companies.
He served as the firm's executive partner–operational effectiveness from May 2007–November 2011.
Morton is also the past practice leader of the firm's national transportation manufacturing group, in which he served a variety of clients, including trailer, recreational vehicle, boat, step van, manufactured housing and other assemble-to-order manufacturers.
He has been active in various community service organizations in Indiana, including the Elkhart Rotary Club, Elkhart Community Foundation, Elkhart Centre Board of Directors, past president of the Elkhart Noon Optimist Club, and past treasurer of the Elkhart Community Day Care Center.
