In 2016
The firm celebrated its 90th anniversary of serving the middle market. As part of the celebration, the firm inducted its first class of Hall of Fame members and launched 90-90-9: Pursue Your Passion, an employee contest that awarded nine employees with $90,000 ($10,000 each) to fulfill their passions. Not surprisingly, given our focus on stewardship, each of the nine winners chose to use this opportunity to give back to the community.
In 2017
The firm joined the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to announce a new partnership dedicated to increasing awareness of the business and economic issues affecting the middle market. We also launched RSM Canada with an office 300-strong in the heart of Toronto’s financial district. We received numerous awards/recognitions for our firm’s workplace culture, including being named by Working Mother magazine as one of its 2017 Working Mother 100 Best Companies.
In 2018
We announced a new CEO Innovation Fund that provides people with the financial resources to cultivate their grassroots ideas. We joined more than 150 organizations nationwide in recognizing a “Day of Understanding,” hosted by CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™ to address bias and increase understanding in the workplace and beyond. We expanded our consulting services by joining forces with Explore Consulting. In conjunction with the PGA Tour, we expanded the RSM Birdies Fore Love charitable giving platform to enhance charitable donations raised through The RSM Classic. We launched our cutting-edge Industry Eminence Program, which positions analysts to understand, forecast and communicate economic, business and technology trends shaping the industries we serve. And we expanded our presence in Canada with the addition of three Alberta firms.
In 2019
We were named by Great Place to Work and Fortune as one of their 2019 Best Workplaces for Diversity, highlighting our firm’s continued commitment to diversity and inclusion. We joined forces with St. Petersburg-based Gregory, Sharer and Stuart. We celebrated the 10th anniversary of The RSM Classic, an RSM-sponsored PGA Tour event, which raises millions of dollars for those in need each year. We earned top marks in the 2019 Corporate Equality Index, the nation’s premier benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. And we joined 177 other companies in signing the Business Statement for Transgender Equality.
In 2020
In response to the global pandemic, we implemented a COVID-19 Resource Center to provide middle market business leaders with timely and relevant information and resources to help them navigate through unprecedented times. We boosted our Salesforce practice by joining forces with MondayCall LLC, and also joined forces with the leaders and staff of Tate & Tryon P.C, and its wholly owned subsidiary, T3 Information Systems LLC. We held our 11th annual RSM Volunteer Week, with nearly 2,000 people participating in more than 60 virtual volunteer activities across the country and in Canada, due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. We selected six individuals to represent RSM in CEO Action for Racial Equity, a fellowship program launched by CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™. We joined Junior Achievement USA to launch JA Take Stock in Your Future®, a program that helps high school students understand the inner workings of the stock market, and helps demystify investing. We joined a consortium of more than 80 supporting companies, launched by Ascend, the largest nonprofit Pan-Asian membership organization for business professionals and executives in North America, to address the adverse impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak.
