Looking for signs of economic rebound

With winter finally fading, investors are looking for signs that the economy is ready to rebound. The recent retail sales and inflation reports did point toward a modest bounce in March and it’s likely that the data flow should begin to look stronger as April and May data begin to roll in.
This week fresh information on the housing sector, the pace of firings in the economy and new bookings for durable goods will be published. In addition, the U.S. Treasury will sell $18 billion in Treasury inflation protected securities on Thursday.
