Investors will see housing data, jobless claims and FOMC updates
WEEKLY MARKET COMMENTARY |
The U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) meeting will dominate the week ahead in global financial markets amidst a spate of first-tier data releases on housing, inflation, jobless claims and manufacturing conditions across the economy. Investors will likely begin to focus on the costs of rebuilding efforts in Texas and Florida as the GOP-held Congress is expected to put forward its plan on tax reform or cuts in the coming days. This week will also see the publication of the Q3 2017 RSM US Middle Market Business Index.
Following the Federal Open Market Committee meeting midweek, the Dallas and Kansas City Fed symposium on the oil market will also draw the attention of investors in the energy complex. Fed Presidents George and Kaplan will speak at the conference on Friday, Sept 22.
