Investors weigh industry, housing and jobs amid geopolitical unrest

This week investors will likely cautiously ascertain the growing headwinds associated with geopolitical tensions in Northeast Asia amidst another week of corporate bellwether Q1 2017 earnings releases that will feature Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and General Electric, to name a few.
The Federal Reserve will send five speakers to address the public this week featuring Vice Chair Stanley Fischer who will speak on the topic of monetary policy communication. In the U.S. there will be a large slate of first-tier economic data publications featuring new information on regional manufacturing, industrial production and housing. In addition, this week will feature the euro flash Purchase Managers’ Index which should provide insight into the noticeably improved manufacturing outlook across the continent.
