New scorecard process helps validate grants of nearly $5 million annually
CASE STUDY |
A state housing finance agency responsible for promoting affordable residential real estate development and other statewide affordable housing resources, sought to ensure more consistency in their grant decision-making process.
In a review of the existing procedures, the agency’s director of operations and staff identified multiple areas that could benefit from an in-depth process analysis. The agency turned to RSM to develop tools and practices to better control the application/decision process to make the final decision clear.
RSM’s approach helped the agency streamline the grant process from end-to-end, refine the initial application, re-define staff roles and responsibilities, update the policies, forms and procedures, and modified the agency’s audit process and performance metrics.
