Patience is critical for real estate mergers and acquisitions


Investors and managers need to show patience with deals in today’s highly competitive real estate markets or risk getting caught up in a bubble with overpriced assets.

Predicting real estate M&A deals in 2015 could top 2014 levels, RSM national real estate industry practice leader Richard Edelheit says patience and greater due diligence are critical in assessing the true value of deals. That has to be balanced against the need to be quicker, and deeper, with due diligence given the weight of competition in the market.
