Staffing changes to enhance coverage for our tribal and tribal gaming clients
TRIBAL NATIONS QUARTERLY |
We are pleased to announce two recent staffing changes within our national tribal and gaming services practice which will enhance our ability to provide the best possible service to our clients.
Kim McCabe has joined our Las Vegas office as a director in the financial advisory services consulting practice. Kim will work closely with gaming and hospitality clients to develop a deep understanding of their potential operational, financial, regulatory and technology risks, and provide them with customized strategies to help mitigate those risks. She will also design and implement process improvements that contribute to client success.
Kim has more than 19 years of experience in the gaming and hospitality industry, including serving as corporate vice president of compliance with the Las Vegas Sands Corp. She also spent six years with the State of Nevada Gaming Control Board where she worked as an auditor, and is currently an audit committee member with WestStar Credit Union. Kim is a CPA and a certified anti-money laundering specialist (CAMS).
Additionally, Theresa Kain, a consulting director, has relocated from San Diego, Calif. to our Seattle, Wash. office and will provide leadership for our Pacific Northwest practice. She will be responsible for expanding the local practice and ensuring that we continue to meet and exceed the evolving needs of our clients.
Since joining McGladrey in 1999, Theresa has specialized in providing consulting services to tribes and gaming entities throughout the United States. She assists tribes with business process improvement, internal control enhancement and financial advisory services. Additionally, Theresa has designed, authored and implemented operational and financial reporting procedures for start-up tribal government agencies and casinos, and has worked with numerous established tribes and casinos in updating and improving their operational systems, leading to significant improvement in efficiency and accuracy of transactions.
