GASB survey of financial statement preparers

The Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) invites governments to participate in its Survey of Financial Statement Preparers Regarding Activities Related to Preparing and Publishing an Audited Annual Financial Report. The purpose of the survey is to gather information regarding the activities governments engage in when preparing and publishing their audited annual financial reports, when those activities take place and the number of technical staff hours involved. The GASB believes information collected through the survey results will be highly valuable in evaluating the costs and benefits associated with conforming to generally accepted accounting principles and the effect on the timeliness of issuing financial reports. Those participating in the survey are asked to please complete it prior to December 15, 2015.
