2016 Retail and Consumer Economic Outlook Forum


Join RSM and leading business professionals from throughout the Boston area on Thursday, Jan. 21, for a discussion of the key economic factors that will be affecting consumer spending and the overall retail industry in 2016.


RSM’s Chief Economist, Joe Brusuelas, will provide a keynote on macroeconomic market trends, expected changes in the financial environment and their impact on the consumer. A panel of industry professionals will then engage in an interactive discussion of the economic outlook for 2016 and share their expectations for the coming year.

Following the seminar, the speakers will be on hand to answer questions, and attendees will have an opportunity to network with industry peers. Refreshments will be provided.

Keynote speaker:

Joseph Brusuelas has over 20 years of experience in finance and economics and specializes in analyzing the U.S. monetary policy, labor markets, fiscal policy, economic indicators and the condition of the U.S. consumer. Prior to joining RSM, Brusuelas spent four years as a senior economist at Bloomberg and the Bloomberg Briefs newsletter group. As co-founder of the award-winning Bloomberg Economic Brief, Brusuelas was named as one of the 26 economists to follow by the Huffington Post. Earlier in his career, he was a director at Moody's Analytics, where he covered the U.S. and global economies for the Dismal Scientist website. He also served as chief economist at Merk Investments LLC and chief U.S. economist at IDEAglobal.
