2016 federal grants management update
RECORDED WEBCAST |
Recent changes enacted in the area of federal grants management have been considerable and are typically seen once in a generation. Nonprofit organizations and their auditors are now fully using the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (commonly called Uniform Guidance, or UG) in the administration of federal awards and related audits. As this is an evolving area and new items are encountered, practical questions arise. Nonprofit organizations need to understand UG as it applies to their situation in order to comply and avoid the risk of having to return funds to the government, amongst other risks.
Join us as Tom Sneeringer, partner with RSM, discusses current developments in grants management, as tailored for typical issues faced by nonprofit federal award recipients.
During this webcast, you will learn:
- Implementation issues of UG (2 CFR 200) that became effective for new awards issued on or after Dec. 26, 2014
- Current developments affecting procurement rules under UG
- Changes introduced by the 2016 OMB Compliance Supplement
- Other changes in the area of grants management (DATA Act, etc.)
